Work on logistics that thousands of drivers rely on
Kelvara is a small, deliberate team building software that has to work at 6am in the rain. If you like problems that are concrete, measurable and genuinely hard, you will fit in here.
Small team, real ownership
At 78 people we do not have layers to hide behind. You will own a real part of the product, talk to the operators who use it, and see your work in a live depot within weeks — not quarters.
We are hybrid: three days a week together in Kaunas or Riga, the rest wherever you focus best. We keep meetings few and written decisions many.
Ship to real operations
Your code plans routes for thousands of vehicles. The feedback loop is a dispatcher, not a dashboard.
Hybrid, not theatre
Three anchor days for the work that is better in a room, and genuine flexibility for the rest.
Learning budget
€1,500 a year for courses, conferences and books, plus dedicated time to use it.
Ride-alongs
Everyone spends a day a year on a delivery route. You cannot build for the last mile from a desk alone.
Equity for everyone
Every permanent employee holds options. When Kelvara does well, so do you.
Proper time off
Statutory leave plus additional days, and we mean it — the average person here takes their holiday.
Five teams are hiring
Every role is based in Kaunas or Riga on our hybrid schedule. Don't see an exact match? Tell us what you would want to work on — we read every message.
Senior Backend Engineer, Routing
You will work on the optimisation engine at the heart of Kelvara — the service that turns thousands of stops and a fleet of constraints into routes that make economic sense. We care about correctness under load and clean modelling of messy real-world rules.
We're looking for
- 5+ years building backend services in a typed language (we use Go and Rust)
- Comfort with combinatorial optimisation, or a real appetite to learn it
- A track record of shipping systems that stay correct at scale
Mobile Engineer, Driver App
The driver app is where our software meets the road. It has to work offline, on cheap devices, in bad weather, for people who did not choose the software and just want their day to go smoothly. That constraint is the whole job, and it is a good one.
We're looking for
- 3+ years shipping production mobile apps (we build with Kotlin Multiplatform)
- Real experience with offline-first sync and conflict resolution
- An eye for the details that make an app usable one-handed at a doorstep
Implementation Lead
You will take new customers from signed contract to a depot running live on Kelvara. That means understanding their operation deeply, configuring the platform to fit it, and earning the trust of dispatchers who have seen software promises before. Part project management, part logistics, part diplomacy.
We're looking for
- Experience in logistics, transport or supply-chain operations
- Fluent Latvian or Lithuanian, and confident English
- The patience to run a careful rollout instead of a fast one
Product Designer
Our users are planners staring at a dense board for eight hours and drivers glancing at a phone between stops. Both need clarity, not decoration. You will own flows end to end, from the dispatch console to the driver app, and you will test them with the people who actually use them.
We're looking for
- A portfolio of shipped, information-dense product work
- Comfort designing for both desktop operational tools and mobile
- A habit of validating designs with real users, not stakeholders
Data Engineer, Address Graph
The address graph is a quietly critical part of Kelvara: it turns the five ways a Baltic address can be written into one canonical record with a confidence score. You will own the pipelines that build and validate it, from open cadastral data to the messy strings customers actually send us.
We're looking for
- Strong data-pipeline experience (Python, SQL, a warehouse of your choosing)
- Interest in geospatial data and fuzzy matching
- Care about data quality as a first-class product concern
No role fits, but you love this problem?
Tell us what you would want to build. We would rather hear from the right person early than wait for the perfect job posting.
